QA ENGINEER

• At least 2-3 years experience in software development and/or testing (5-7+ for senior);
• Solid Knowledge of Quality Assurance methodologies, processes, and tools;
• Experience with any defect tracking and test management systems;
• Experience working in with Agile/Scrum development process;
• Experience with MS SQL databases and writing SQL queries;
• Experience with performance testing is a plus;
• Experience with security testing is a plus;
• Experience with automated data warehouse testing tools (DbUnit, DbFit, the SQL Developer Unit Test tool, or Quest Code Tester for Oracle) is a plus;
• Software testing certifications (ISTQB) and/ or training is a plus;
• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Finance, Insurance Market or related;
• 1-2 years of SQL developer experience is a plus;
• Experience in scripting is a plus (Python, other);
• Experience and interest in test coordination activities (test estimates, reviews, allocations, guidance, and monitoring for other team members).

• Review and assess business requirements to provide meaningful quality feedback and create test plans;
• Create detailed test plans, test strategy and test cases based on business requirements;
• Execute all types of testing needed to ensure the best quality of the system under test (Functional, Regression, Installation,
  Compatibility, Integration, Documentation, etc.);
• Create, maintain and execute manual test cases;
• Apply and enhance testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs;
• Identify, report, and track defects until closure;
• Perform requirements, test strategy, test cases review, and provide relevant feedback to other testers or stakeholders;
• Deliver clear quality status to relevant stakeholders;
• Perform relevant regression testing to make sure that new code changes do not have side effects on the existing functionalities;
• Provide realistic test effort estimates;
• Contribute to project progress reports and testing metrics;
• Design performance test plan and test cases, execute and report results if needed;
• Design security test plan and test cases, execute and report results if needed;
• Create, maintain and execute test automation script, if needed;
• Mentor other team members on agile testing practices, QA processes, and tools;
• Cover test coordination activities (planning, guidance for the team, monitoring, and control).
